“You truly are the closest thing to a dog whisperer I have ever known.” — Jaque H. Haggard Owner/Founder of The Natural Pet Pantry |
“Steve is the finest trainer, I have seen, and have ever known, in my entire career.” — Todd Bushman Owner Lucky Dog Seattle |
“My dog Tanner is a rescue I adopted 5 months ago. We have been training with Steve for several weeks and already there is a marked difference in Tanner's behavior, responsiveness, and willingness to please. Tanner is rambunctious, a jumper and has separation anxiety, along with a few other issues which Steve identified very early on and is working through very effectively. Steve's teachings and example have made me strive to be more firm and consistent with Tanner, which translates to someone Tanner can count on, which translates to an all around happier, healthier relationship for us! I expect Steve to be in Tanner's life for a long time to come.” — Patti Murphy Employment Lawyer, |

“Steve has been excellent to work with as a Dog trainer. We have two small Cavalier King Charles Spaniels that are going through Steve's "Mini Hero's" program. Steve is gentle and very in-tune to our dogs feelings and needs. He also is able to explain to us when we are the problem vs. the dogs, but he does that in a gentle way too! We love that he comes to our home and helps us to train with issues around our home (i.e. barking at the neighbors, barking at the TV, etc.). I would highly recommend Steve as a dog trainer and I suggest you give him a try.” — Brandy Moore Global Alliance Manager, ![]() |

“We have been very happy with our trainings sessions with Steve. We have progressed through Level 1 and 2 of obedience training for our chocolate lab, Kona. He has been very professional and worked with us being flexible with our schedules was nice. Highly recommended!” — Ricky Richard | “If you'd like your dog to be the best companion possible, well mannered, balanced, respectful and respected, contact Steve Walter.” — Barbara Fugate Artist/Teacher |
“I highly recommend Steve to any dog owner looking to deepen their bond with their dog by learning or improving obedience and leash handling, curb any dog aggression, all the while having fun working with their dog. Steve provides all this and more — with intelligence, humor, and spot-on dog behavior understanding. Steve has been my dog's trainer for six months now — completing Level One and now into Level Two training. I am always impressed with the instant (caring, respectful, and confident) connection he makes with my dog. A beautiful and wondrous thing to witness. Steve is a professional, serious, capable, down-to-earth dog trainer worthy of anyone's trust to transform their dog into the best companion one could have at their side.” — Barbara Fugate Artist/Teacher ![]() |

“I've been working with Steve for over five years. He has trained all five of my dogs and two of my parents dogs. The first time I left my mastiff with him I told him he wouldn't come when called, play fetch, swim, was unsafe with other dogs or be relaxed in a crate. I also gave him a head halter to walk him in and treats. I come back to see my dog running around in the yard with his pups playing like it was no big deal. Within days everything I said he couldn't do Steve had him doing AND enjoying it! My last dog I rescued came from a family that put her through a certain SPCA certified trainer that only uses food reward and recommends harnesses the pinch the shoulders together (cause that's humane, NOT!). She was aggressive to both people and animals, wouldn't let you touch her food bowl and didn't know anything. One week and my girl was a different dog. Stogi and I grow closer everyday with the training from Steve. Level one- done, level two- done. Dog training is about respect not reward. A real trainer has put in the time to get the respectful relationship between dog and handler. And not walking around with a giant fanny pack thinking they're all that. Thanks Steve KEEP ROCKING DOGS' WORLDS!!!!” — Marit Metcalf Pet Sitter |

“I have known Steve Walter for many years now and can attest to his integrity. . I can say this since I've seen Steve work with many dogs that most people would say destroy because of the dogs temperament, actions towards humans, and or animals.” — Jennifer Andrus Former Animal Control officer, Whatcom County |

“PIT BULL LOVERS BEWARE! THIS GUY HAS WHAT IT TAKES! I'm still in shock at how Steve took my unruely pit bull, Snot (lol his real name is Snickers) and helped him become the dog I knew he could be. I couldn't take Snot out with me in the car cause he's got guarding problems. Steve really helped us come up with solutions for our problems and now Snot's a happy buddy! I can honestly say his prices are fair for the hard work you get. And Steve offers you lifetime support if you got any problems. I spent the money to get him 6 lessons and that was like 8 months ago. I probably call Steve once a week and he's always happy to help. We'll be getting our second dog soon and this one's going to start out right! With Steve from the get go!” — Amanda Bloom President/Co-Founder Bullyroundup.org |

“Steve has been truly amazing training our 1yo chocolate lab puppy. Within just 1 lesson, she was behaving on leash - AND OFF! We are so happy with our training and the bond we're building with Kona thanks to Steve. Each week of training delivers new nuggets of joy. 3 weeks into training, we had a large party and every guest commented on how well behaved she is. We love how specialized the lesson plan is to our dog, and our own Thank you Thank you Thank you Steve! We cannot wait to graduate to Level 2 with you!” — Julie Richard Software Security Management, Microsoft |

“I first worked with Steve to help me work with a strong, willful year-old Great Dane who had no concept of leash walking. Within one session, he was heeling beautifully. I've since engaged Steve to help me build better relationships with both of my dogs. I continue to recommend Steve to anyone I meet who wants to improve their own relationship with their dog. Not only is Steve personable and professional, but his techniques are proven and you will see quick results.” — Kristie Wehe Chief Talent Finder, Talent Finder Solutions |

“I lived in the same house as Steve for over a year. I know, without a doubt, that dogs are an important part of his life. He loves them, enjoys training them and he is very good at it. I witnessed some of the training sessions he had with the dogs who came over to the house. He has a remarkable understanding for the way dogs think and knows how to gain their respect and communicate with them effectively. I was very impressed by his aptitude for his skill every time I saw him in action. When I was still together with my ex-boyfriend, Dan, he adopted an abandoned dog, Ripley, that Steve selflessly rescued. Ripley was extremely skinny and unhealthy – it was a huge endeavor to get him in shape. Steve bent over backwards for that dog, as he has done for many others. When Dan adopted Ripley, he was a healthy, well trained, happy dog. I also was able to get to know Steve on a personal level. He has proven to me to have a strong character, with good solid morals. He is very well-rounded and has a very healthy perspective on himself and the world. I would trust Steve with my dog in a heartbeat.” — Anna Kay Leamon |

“Steve Walter is the only person I know and trust to care for my dogs in Seattle. In fact, I've referred my neighbors and friends to Steve to assist them in their dog training and dog boarding needs. Who in turn reported back to me of the amazing positive transformation of their dog's behavior after working with Steve for only a short time. When my dogs are with Steve, I feel relaxed and confident that they are not only being well cared for, but are safe and in a healthy environment. If you are looking for an experienced expert dog trainer and care provider, Steve Walter is the person I would recommend with confidence.” — Viola Brumbaugh |

“Steve is a very talented dog trainer. Our four year old black lab, Shadow, has some agressive behavior that we wanted to address - mainly, pulling on the leash and barking at other dogs. During our first session, we were amazed at the command that Steve brings. Before we knew it, Shadow was walking by our side with a loose "U" in the lead. Amazing! And Shadow adores him - he just gazes up at him, as if to say, "Thank you! I just want to please my People, and you are helping me do that!" Shadow is progressing, and we are too. Thanks, Steve.” — Deborah Leitner System Engineer, Intel |

“Steve is hands down the best dog trainer I have found. He has a gentle, caring manner, firm leadership, and keen intuition about each different dogs needs. Because he uses praise and connection as the main method of reward, rather than food, it gave my dog more confidence. I would highly recommend Steve as the local "dog whisperer"” — Nadine Richard Microsoft IT Consultant |
